Research Triangle Parkrtp01

No where is the spirit of collaboration more evident than the circumstance that lead to the creation of the Research Triangle Park. Created in 1959, amidst the backdrop of declining industries that had supported the state for decades, leaders from state and local government, nearby universities and the business community created the park to support research and innovation and to retain and recruit talent and business. Over the course of the 60 year history, RTP is now home has over 260 companies comprised of nearly 50,000 employees and has grown into an entrepreneurial community with more than 60% of its companies having 25 employees or less. Innovation and collaboration continues as RTP is now home to the Frontier, the Boxyard and soon-to-be Hub RTP. For more details click here.
